Meet our provider

Laverne Mitchell, DNP, FNP-C, CDCES.

Founder. CEO.

Dr. Laverne Mitchell is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Florida, who has been board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2012 by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing in 1994, from Palm Beach State College, a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 1999, a Master's Degree in Nursing in 2012 from FAU, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2022 from FAU.

She has over 29 years of practice in healthcare, providing primary care services in Primary care offices, Nursing homes, Home care, Community clinics, and Acute care hospitals in South Florida. She is passionate about empowering her clients to adopt healthy lifestyle change habits, as shown in studies, to improve health outcomes and enhance well-being.

She specializes in chronic disease management and has been a certified diabetes care and education specialist for many years. Her specialized training and experience allow her to assess, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage various acute and chronic illnesses effectively.

She enjoys presenting lectures that educate the public on Diabetes, diabetes self-care, self-management, and other chronic conditions that are often preventable with lifestyle habit change.
